These selections of paintings are recent watercolors of the surrounding landscape and explorations with the still life.
My landscape paintings are done in the open air, on the spot, in sun, mist or wind. I brave the outdoor elements because colors and the scene before me hold a freshness and vibrancy that I cannot find anywhere else.
Light is a source of inspiration in my paintings and watercolor is an ideal medium for capturing that feeling of light. Its fluid and transparent qualities are unique and lend themselves beautifully to expressing the elusive and unexpected effects of light on color and form.
